About Us

This Milwaukee production is a collaboration between two companies who believe theater should be joyful, accessible, and served with a side of quiche. We’re thrilled to bring this beloved show to PATH — Milwaukee’s first fully accessible theater venue.

THE SHOW

It’s 1956, and the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein — led by President Lulie Stanwyck — has assembled for its annual quiche breakfast. “No men. No meat. All manners.” Then the Soviets actually drop the bomb, the doors seal shut, and five “devoted widows” find themselves riding out the apocalypse in the basement with nothing but each other, an alarming quantity of egg, and the secrets they’ve been keeping.

Co-written by Andrew Hobgood and Evan Linder, it’s an interactive comedy where the entire audience is sworn in as members of the Society — name tags and all.
